I love the spires! I'm trying to figure out where you took that photo from! I've seen a few good "churchscapes" of that same area, but I think yours has the most interesting composition.
Thanks for the compliment. I actually call that one of the Charleston Cliche Shots and it's from the top of the municipal parking garage garage on Dickinson Street, I think that's the Street, it's Municipal garage #1.
I took another photograph from the same location earlier on. Check out Rick Lee's blog, he has several photos up from that shot with really good clouds. Rick says he and a friend were talking about painting "Take Photo Here" on the spot where it's taken from.
We don't really know who started it, rumor has it that it was a newspaper reporter who took it for the paper right after the garage was built. So I can't claim it as an original shot but I think every Charleston photographer I know has their own version of it. Go for it!!
