Church and Sky

Rick Lee should be familiar with this church. My wife works in the activity building of this church for Children's Therapy Clinic and it's where both my nephew, my brother and myself attended preschool. It's Bream Church on the West Side of Charleston.

Breaking News!!

I was out on a job today and found this wreck on I-79 at the Elkview Exit. It was still pretty soon after the wreck evidently as EMS was still responding. I pulled off beside the exit ramp, they were closing the highway and rerouting eveyrone off and then right back on the Elkview exit, and acted like a news photographer for a couple of minutes. There was a news crew already on the scene. It looks like they were getting ready to start cutting the cab away with heavy equipment. On my return trip I notieced the ambulance had arrived as well as the tow truck. Hope the driver was OK, he appeared to be the only one involved.

Updates and Life

Sorry it's been so long everyone, I can't believe I haven't done any updates in 10 days. That's almost like a month in blog years! I'm readjusting to my old routine and it's harder than I thought it would be to get back in the swing of things. Just catching up has taken a week!

Anyway, updates are coming soon. I'm not at the State Legislature anymore, the job ended and I'm back to running my photography and graphic design business. Expect regular updates again starting today.

Signs of Spring #2

Here is even more evidence that Spring is on the way.

Even the trees are getting in on Spring. The buds on the trees came up over night on Friday night. I left Friday evening and there were none and then Saturday morning they were there...
These tulips are really doing well...

Speaker Kiss and Me

I don't usually do this but after taking over 70 photos of Speaker Kiss with varying people on the last night of session, I had to get in on the act. I had the clerk take this photo with me and the Speaker during his last Regular Session as Speaker of the House.

Rotunda TV Studio #2

Here is the fully functional TV Studio.... Broadcasting live on local PBS Stations around WV.

Rainbow Capitol

You will have to look close, but in the bottom left hand corner is the remnants of a rainbow that is fading fast. It took me less than two minutes to get from the basement to the roof walk in the west wing and it disappeared that fast...

I looked and looked but the only gold to be found was on the dome!

Rotunda TV Station

It's the last night of session, woooohoooooo, and PBS sets up a portable TV Studio inside the Rotunda. This shows it being put together.....
See it live tonight!!

Late night session has everyone enjoying the warm weather in the evening. It was great tonight, about 75 degrees. I was out on the "front porch" of the Capitol taking in some evening air and noticed this shot, the light was what caught my eye.
